Chyanne Holmes

Chyanne is currently a student, and the class representative, of the MLitt Middle East, Caucasus and Central Asian Security Studies course in the School of International Relations at the University of St Andrews. She is passionate about the theories and concepts of both regional and international security as defined in relation to threats. As someone who grew up in Belfast during the early years of the Peace Process, and having previously worked as a Parliamentary Research for the Northern Ireland Assembly, she has a particular interest in terrorism, identity crisis, gender inequality and the hidden abuse of human rights. She is also currently learning Arabic as part of her degree, and trains frequently with the University of St Andrews Taekwon-Do club.
